Nemesis Now has rendered that energy in 28cm of hand-painted resin, and it’s one of the most striking pieces in the entire Iron Maiden collectibles range.
This officially licensed Iron Maiden Powerslave Bust Box from Nemesis Now portrays the band’s figurehead Eddie in his dying Pharaoh form — inspired by their fifth studio album and the ancient Egyptian aesthetic that defined its artwork. He wears a Nemes headdress with blue and gold stripes, small yellow flames burning from the hollows of his eyes. The expression manages to be simultaneously imperious and unsettling, which is arguably the defining quality of all the best Eddie art.
Cast in the finest resin and expertly hand-painted, the quality of this bust is exceptional. The headdress detailing, the colour palette of gold, blue and white, the texture of Eddie’s undead skin against the formal regalia of an Egyptian ruler — all rendered with the precision that distinguishes Nemesis Now’s larger format pieces.
The bust functions as storage — the top of the piece opens to reveal a compartment for small treasures. Because obviously Eddie as a Pharaoh should be guarding something precious.
